Re: BaseJKA Security Fix

Hmmm. Most of the time it should work. I have never been able to duplicate that bug on any of my servers, though I have seen it twice on other peoples logs. :? Re: BaseJKA Security Fix

If you look daily at the logs of 30 to 40 servers to debunk lamers, then you are even more paranoid than I ever was :lol I will add the IP to name change logs, but it will be optional (cvar). Note that you can use tools such as *nix grep or variants of regex to make your daunting task much easier.....

Re: BaseJKA Security Fix

under normal circumstances yes, but when you have about 30-40 logs to look through, and them being from different servers, things get slightly complicated.

Re: BaseJKA Security Fix

is there a way to add an IP status? eg. when the person changes their names.......could you possibly adjust the log writing so it notes down the IP for name changing? eg. Padawan 172.62.62.5 changes name to ^Beowulf so it logs something like: ClientUserinfoChanged: 2 n\^4P^7adawan ^5(^72^5) 172.62.6...
